Bridges
Imagine you want to connect two river banks with a bridge.
We do the same thing between two teeth on either side of a gap.
Bridges generally close the small gaps between teeth.
Just like a real bridge, a connection is made in the mouth between both the bridge anchors using a bridge pontic.
This pontic is shaped like a tooth so it cannot be distinguished from the other teeth.
Modern, aesthetic dentistry takes over from here, so that bridges can be made completely metal free with "zirconium oxide".
From the surface of the teeth, you cannot see that these are artificial teeth, because they are made to look like natural teeth.
